Despite the challenges favelas face, they are known for their vibrant culture and strong sense of community. Many of the favelas have made significant contributions to Brazilian culture and society, including music, art and sports
This community may be very dirty, but it is full of life and
hope, and deserves our attention and support. Let’s open our hearts and
minds to the people and cultures that make our world rich and diverse.
